The EAPM European Union working group was established in January 2022 with the aim of developing relations with the EU, and the relevant directorates-general. Many EU policies, subsidies and budgets impact those of our Members as well as the economies and labour markets of wider Europe.
This working group will consist of members who are willing to contribute to the definition and execution of a plan to link to the EU institutions and represents Western Europe, Scandinavia and the Baltic states, Eastern-Europe, Southern Europe.
Working Group Lead
Vicky Charalambous, Cyprus
Vicky Charalambous is an HR professional with over 25 years of experience in human resource management, organisational development, and leading culture-driven change. She holds a PhD in Positive Organisational Psychology, a Master’s in Organisational and Economic Psychology, and a BA in International and European Economic Studies.
She is Director of People, Culture & Organisational Performance at the research and education centre CARDET and Managing Director of the Institute of Development, where she leads EU-funded projects and learning initiatives focused on leadership, organisational culture, wellbeing, inclusion, and organisational resilience. She is an accredited trainer and regular speaker at local and international conferences, seminars, and professional events. Vicky has held senior HR roles in multinational organisations, lectures in organisational psychology, and actively contributes to European dialogue on future-ready, people-centred, and values-driven people management practices.
Key priorities
- To map existing and potential connections to EU institutions involved in the areas relevant to the EAPM.
- To develop meaningful ways of interaction with the EU that will benefit the members of the EAPM.
- Develop a first plan of action to liaise with the EU in the coming years (2022-2024)
