Working groups

EAPM Working Groups play a central role in delivering the EAPM Strategy and creating value for members across Europe.

As a volunteer-led network organisation, EAPM works through a collaborative model where:

  • the Board provides strategic direction,
  • Working Groups translate strategy into delivery, and
  • the Secretariat enables coordination, continuity and support.

Each Working Group operates under a Board-approved mandate linked to EAPM’s strategic priorities and the 3 Es: Ease, Exclusiveness and Excellence.

Working Groups are led by a Working Group Lead and supported by a Board Sponsor, creating a clear link between strategic direction and operational delivery. Every group is also supported by a Secretariat point of contact to help ensure continuity and coordination.

EAPM Members may nominate individuals from their National Association to contribute to Working Groups. Members bring a wide range of expertise, perspectives and experience, while also having the opportunity to develop new skills, build international connections and contribute to the future of the HR profession across Europe.

Working Groups operate through light annual planning cycles focused on realistic, meaningful outputs that reflect volunteer capacity and organisational priorities. Progress and key developments are shared regularly through Board meetings, Member briefings and EAPM events.

Currently, the EAPM Board works with seven Working Groups:

Some Working Groups support ongoing strategic priorities with an annual cycle of activity, while others may be created for a specific project, initiative or organisational need.

Our Working Groups also contribute to the wider goals reflected in the UN Sustainable Development Goals, supporting collaboration, learning, inclusion, professional development and sustainable organisational practice across Europe.
