The Israeli Society for Human Resource Management, Research and Development is the sole Society for HR in Israel. It has great impact on the positioning of HR in Israel as a profession with strategic contribution to business growth. Its vision is implemented in two main ways: Implementation of Professional Certification of HR in Israel on the one hand and professional activities and events on the other hand.

The Professional Certification of HR in Israel defines the required knowledge of an HR Professional, as a “requirement list”. The certification system, managed by the Society, is implemented in most of the academic institutions in Israel including in Bachler and Master Degrees. In addition, individual HR professionals can be certified if they meet the level of the professional requirements. Over 500 experienced senior HR managers have already received certification diplomas.

In addition, the Society initiates and manages 50 HR events per year including conferences, the annual excellence awards, peer groups, professional mentoring and training courses.

The Society acts in the public field and has an active role in relevant legislation as well as national and international standardization. To ensure the connection to the organizations and incorporate their practical experience in the Society’s strategic thinking, a committee of CEO’s, Academic leaders and senior HR managers was established to support the Society’s goals and activities.
